Description

Eden Mobility, the UK’s leading High Street retailer of Mobility Products are looking for a Workshop Scooter Engineer to join the Team at our Scunthorpe HQ.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience in use of small hand tools
  • Ability to use a handheld multimeter to check amperage draw and continuity
  • Good eye for detail
  • Basic Computer literacy for booking jobs and testing batteries
    Full training on all of the products for repairing and servicing will be provided so you just really need to have a keen interest in fixing things/a good eye for detail. The role would suit an experienced valeter with a desire to learn repair work or someone with a good electrical/mechanical knowledge with high finishing standards.
    Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 and alternative Saturdays 08:30 to 14:00.
    You will receive 20 days paid holidays per year plus all bank holidays, rising to 21 days after 1 year’s complete service.
    We also offer an incentive scheme to earn extra holiday time through non-sickness.
    Salary of £12.21 per annum with an uncapped commission packaging based on units completed

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Working in our in-site Workshop you will repair and recondition Mobility Products such as Scooters, Powerchairs and Stairlifts.
Alongside this you will also help out keeping the site clean and tidy.

DAILY TASKS

  • Assessing work required to repair/recondition items
  • Carrying out mechanical and/or electrical repairs
  • Servicing equipment
  • Reconditioning pre-owned items following our multi-point check list
  • Finishing items to a high standard for retail sale
