JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installation of Miretti equipment to a broad range of materials handling equipment, engine packages and electrical assemblies. From time to time, attend sites to carry out breakdown repairs, remedial works and preventative maintenance.

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstratable experience in an electrical design and build environment working to engineering specifications, electrical schematics, cable schedules and mechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to demonstrate electrical & mechanical aptitude to applicable principles.
  • Ability to adapt to and integrate into business systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Be an effective team player
  • Some knowledge in the use of IT equipment and software packages
  • Driving licence.
  • Good administrative and organisational skills and an enthusiasm and ability to work to varying deadlines across different projects.

Responsibilities
  • Build, wire and install parts and systems to a variety of equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, use parts drawings and written/oral instructions to assemble equipment.
  • Light mechanical assembly including wiring, crimping and soldering.
  • Work to engineering instructions to the highest possible standard.
  • Set up and run test procedures as per instructions.
  • Work to guidelines to return aesthetic build quality whilst meeting technical requirements.
  • Perform electromechanical assembly, such as hardware installation and parts preparation.
  • Occasionally carry out routine maintenance, repairs and fault finding on customer sites.
  • Complete any required training and development as mandated by the Company.
  • Provide operational support as and when required to ensure efficient running of the business and to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Provide technical support and familiarisation training to internal and external customers.
