Workshop Technician & Test Engineer
Central London (on-site)
£50,000 per year
Our client is a fast-growing HVAC technology company, rethinking heating, cooling and ventilating systems from the ground up. They are investing in a new London workshop to create a tech hub for prototyping, product testing and innovation.
Now, they are looking for a hands-on Workshop Technician & Test Engineer to take ownership of their new central London workshop facility. This the ideal role for someone with strong practical skills and experience with control systems and HVAC controllers.

About the Role

  • Workshop Management. Overseeing the setup of the new workshop, including fabrication and test equipment.
  • Lead facility compliance certification and act as Health & Safety lead
  • Daily workshop maintenance ensuring cleanliness, organisation and operational efficiency
  • Handle tools, equipment calibration, and inventory management (materials, consumables etc).
  • Support engineers in prototype builds, system modifications, and product assembly
  • Set up and manage HVAC test rigs in simulated environments (residential, office, etc.)
  • Install sensors, instrumentation, and data logging systems
  • Assist with onsite testing, fault finding, and data capture
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, partners, and customers during hands-on workshops
  • Contribute practical input during design reviews and ideation sessions
  • Carry out modification works for custom product testing where needed
