    The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Workstream Manager to provide a critical role within Emergency Management, Entity Reform Branch.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A relevant qualification in public policy, law, emergency management or a related field is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Workstream Manager, Reform, will lead a small team to deliver reform outcomes across the fire services.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Manage and guide staff in the delivery of legislative and policy objectives
  • Lead the development and delivery of reform projects
  • Prepare and contribute to high quality reports and information to deliver reform activities
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver key reform outcomes
  • Contribute to and support DJCS Emergency Management whole of sector outcomes and work activities

Strong strategic policy skills and experience in preparing advice complex advice to government will be important in this role.

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of strategic reform projects
  • Experience in advocating options and advising senior stakeholders on complex strategic policies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government and Victoria’s emergency management arrangements (desirable).
  • Highly developed writing and conceptual skills will be well regarded.
  • Experience in leading a team to deliver high quality policy and project outcomes
