Description

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage key suppliers while accountable for the supplier relationship management (SRM),
  • Onboard and upscale new suppliers to match L’Oréal exceptions.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor or above degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related area
  • Chemistry/food/pharmaceutical related background will be plus
  • Minimum 15+ years of procurement/sourcing/category management / project management experience in Business
    TRAVEL REQUIRED: Travel based on business & project requirements.

Responsibilities

Category strategy

  • In line with worldwide Category Director, develop and implement the category strategy and its roadmap in coordination with various stakeholders (RM/BT/R&I/Sustainable Sourcing/Zones),
  • Build up a deep understanding of our feedstocks from cultivation to sourcing and supply chain,
  • Develop a thorough market knowledge and extended market intelligence (Plantation, Oleo Industry, derivative portfolio, Sea Freight, Tariffs, …), openly share it with worldwide buyer community and internal stakeholders,
  • Anticipate mid-term/long-term evolutions related to Oleo Industry, Sustainability, Regulatory and Consumer shifts,
  • Animate a network of buyers in all zones
  • Act as Single Point of Contact for global oleo derivative topics (DIMP, Business Team, Full buy).

Scarcity & Risk Management

  • Comply with and further develop risk management policy (SCALE project) toward most impactful raw materials and implement BCP, diversification, localization for priority #1 Raw materials,
  • Carry out financial risk assessment for all suppliers of the category and for all raw materials of the category to monitor notably Capacity Limited and standard evolution.

Economic Performance

  • Build year N+1 purchasing action plan and lead the budget process for the category,
  • Manage/Support global bids of the category in compliancy with internal control guidelines,
  • Implement budget actions and follow-up its implementation along the year N (trend),
  • Master cost modeling and develop more advanced cost model methodologies and indexation for specific subcategories,
  • Carry out multi-zone both internal and external category benchmarks, potentially involving third parties.
