Description WOUND CARE NURSE (RN/LPN) Days Every other weekend, flexible hours- Applewood, Matteson, IL where 'Nursing is a Work of Heart ' Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois has an immediate opening for an Every Other Weekend Experienced Wound Care Nurse- Flexible hours/days. (To create a full-time position, we have available shifts on the floor.) Candidate must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse with Wound Care experience. Wound Care Certificate, Training or Full Certification Preferred but we will accept candidates with just a couple of years WC experience. PLEASE INCLUDE YEARS OF WOUND CARE EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION ON YOUR RESUME Hourly Rate: $35-42 depending if a LPN or RN Plus you can pick up additional shifts working a cart as a floor nurse $2 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN): Skin evaluation for pressure sore prevention Medication application to existing wounds Educate patients to care for their own wounds Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury IND1 Requirements Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN): Current RN or LPN license from the State of Illinois Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Vohra Certificate or ability to complete certification preferred Wound Care experience required Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults “Generations - Our Family Caring for Your Family for Generations to Come” Generations at Applewood is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
