For more information, visit WPP.com. About the role The Media Activation team is responsible for executing high-quality media campaigns across Search, Social, Display, and Video channels. The team translates media strategy into execution, ensures strong in-channel performance, and continuously identifies opportunities for optimization and innovation. As a Media Activation Manager, you will oversee campaign delivery, performance optimization, and day-to-day client collaboration while mentoring junior team members. You will play a key role in ensuring campaigns launch smoothly, perform effectively, and generate actionable insights for future planning. Some of the things you’ll do: Translate client requirements and media strategies into clear activation briefs Manage campaign execution across biddable and performance channels, ensuring on-time launch and delivery Monitor campaign pacing, performance, and optimization opportunities to achieve campaign objectives Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to improve campaign performance Build strong working relationships with clients, acting as a channel specialist and trusted partner Lead campaign reporting and contribute insights for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews Develop and execute structured testing plans to improve channel performance Identify opportunities to improve activation processes, campaign structures, and media best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, analytics, ad operations, and data teams Manage and mentor 1–2 junior team members, supporting task delegation and skill development A bit about yourself: 3–5+ years of experience in digital media activation within an agency or performance marketing environment Strong hands-on expertise in at least one major platform (Search, Social, Programmatic Display, or Video) with understanding of cross-channel activation Proven ability to independently manage multiple campaigns end-to-end, from launch to performance optimization and reporting Strong understanding of media planning fundamentals including reach, frequency, formats, and channel roles across the marketing funnel Excellent knowledge of campaign optimization levers and testing methodologies Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations High attention to detail in campaign monitoring, including pacing and performance tracking Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including planning, analytics, and ad operations Experience mentoring or managing junior team members Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities Proactive mindset with interest in innovation, testing, and improving activation best practices Fluency in Japanese and English We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection.
