Description

About Us
Malwin Electronics Corporation designs, repairs, and manufactures simulator instruments for critical aerospace platforms. We’re a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business with a reputation for precision, innovation, and delivering on mission-critical needs.
We’re looking for a skilled writer and researcher to join our team as an Intelligence & Proposal Writing Technician. You’ll work side-by-side with our engineering and technical teams to gather detailed information, then turn it into high-quality, compliant written products for proposals, market intelligence briefs, and corporate communications.
You don’t need prior defense or engineering experience — we’ll train you in our processes, quality standards, and the tools of open-source intelligence (OSINT) and FOIA research.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with technical engineering staff to gather, clarify, and verify technical content.
  • Write and edit proposals, capability statements, technical volumes, and white papers for government and industry customers.
  • Research contracts, agencies, and competitors using open sources and public records.
  • Draft and track FOIA requests to gather acquisition and contract history.
  • Translate complex engineering and technical information into clear, persuasive language.
  • Contribute to corporate communications, branding copy, and product descriptions.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills — portfolio or samples required.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information quickly.
  • Proficiency with Word, Google Docs, and PDF formatting tools.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn defense/technical subject matter.

Preferred (We Will Train):

  • Familiarity with FOIA requests or OSINT tools.
  • Experience with proposals, grant writing, or technical documentation.
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, or government programs.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Economics, Political Science, or related field preferred — but not required if you have strong writing samples.

Why Join Malwin

  • Paid training in AS9100 standards, proposal processes, and FOIA/OSINT methods.
  • Opportunity to work directly with engineering SMEs and business development leaders.
  • Small, agile team where your work directly influences results.
  • Career growth in a specialized, growing industry.
