Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and proactive Writer/Researcher to join our team in a diverse and fast-paced role that encompasses both technical and creative tasks, collaborating with multiple team members. The role reports jointly to Sandbox’s HR and Procurement Manager and a departmental Lead.
Sandbox’s Professional Development Bootcamp
As a Writer/Researcher, you will initially join our Professional Development Bootcamp within Sandbox’s Executive Support & Business Development Team, where you will contribute to market research and proposal development work. This experience will provide an understanding of our projects, storytelling approach, and client landscape, forming a strong foundation for future research and writing contributions across various departments.

In the bootcamp, your work will involve the following tasks:

  • Conduct research to identify and assess project opportunities, ensuring strong strategic fit with client needs and funding criteria.
  • Develop compelling, technically sound proposals and applications for diverse funding and project opportunities.
  • Organize and structure content to meet submission requirements, ensure clarity, and align with Sandbox’s brand voice.
  • Contribute to project coordination and potentially other administrative support responsibilities as required.

Department Work
Following the bootcamp, your work will balance proposal and business development efforts with contributions to one or more of our other departments, shifting focus based on company priorities and skills alignment. Your responsibilities for department work will depend on each department’s needs. A brief description of each department is included below.
