QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Proven experience in publishing, editorial coaching, author services, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Project Management Savvy: Strong background in project management, client success, or program coordination, demonstrating an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and empathetically.
  • Storytelling Acumen: A deep understanding of the storytelling process, narrative structures, and genre conventions across various forms of writing.
  • Balanced Approach: The ability to skillfully balance empathy and support with structured guidance and adherence to timelines.
  • Tech Fluency (Plus): Familiarity with CRM tools, Notion, Airtable, or similar project management and organizational platforms is a plus.
  • Independent & Adaptable: Comfortable working remotely and independently within a fast-paced, growing startup environment.
    Job Types: Full-time, Contract
    Pay: $1,406,602.80 - $2,344,338.00 per month

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for an organized and creative Writing Coach to lead our guided author coaching experience. In this role, you’ll be the crucial link between our structured writing support and the unique journey of each author. Your primary goal will be to ensure every author feels empowered, supported, and on track, whether they’re refining an idea or drafting their first chapter.
This position combines project management, editorial insight, and coaching coordination. You’ll manage our multi-stage coaching process, customize it to meet diverse author needs, and support the ongoing development of program templates and tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Author Journey Management: Guide authors through our coaching program, from onboarding to the completion of their manuscript. This includes setting expectations, managing milestones, and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine and adapt our multi-stage coaching process to accommodate various author needs and project types.
  • Resource Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance templates, guidelines, and other resources used throughout the coaching program.
  • Quality Assurance & Oversight: Monitor program progress, identify potential roadblocks, and ensure high-quality coaching delivery.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with product, editorial, and other internal teams to align on program goals and integrate feedback.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as the central point of contact for authors regarding their coaching journey, providing clear and encouraging communication.
