We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their language skills, foster a love for literature, and enhance their critical thinking abilities. EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field is required; a teaching certification is preferred.
Previous teaching experience in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying ages and backgrounds.
Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for teaching purposes.
A passion for literature and the ability to inspire students through creative teaching methods.
Experience in developing curriculum materials is a plus.

All candidates will be assessed through a trial class to see engagement and interaction with students. Successful candidates will receive training in our specific curriculum and undergo a probationary period before becoming a long term teaching partner.

Our program:
Our writing program specializes in English creative writing for grades 2 to high school students. Our after school/weekend classes plus camps help students develop writing and communication skills essential to their academic development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$37.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Teach English Creative Writing skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while integrating literature and cultural studies.
Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Organize extracurricular activities related to English language arts, such as book clubs or writing workshops.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive educational community.
Stay updated on best practices in education and participate in professional development opportunities.
