Shifts include Friday and Saturday overnights, 10pm - 6am. The primary responsibility of our Driver is to provide excellent service by greeting all guests and assisting with luggage and other basic needs. Provides safe transportation for all guests, using hotel vehicles. The Essential Functions of a Bellperson/Driver position include: Maintain high visibility in lobby area and promote interaction with guests. Knowledge of local points of interest and entertainment attractions. Ability to provide accurate information on hotel services and amenities. Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel vehicle(s) by vacuuming, dusting, and washing the exterior daily. Polishes luggage carts on a daily basis. Maintains a clean lobby, other public areas and hotel grounds by following daily checklist. Conduct daily vehicle inspection before and after each shift. Report any vehicle damage to supervisor or other hotel manager. Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time. Supportive Functions: Perform other duties as requested. Example: special request from guests. Requirements Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Excellent knowledge of local attractions and entertainment venues Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts Note: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
