Description

Bluewater Imaging in Belleville, ON is currently seeking an X-Ray Technologist to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday weekly.

EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must be registered in good standing with the CMRITO and CAMRT
  • Annual completion of required continuing education as mandated by the CMRITO
  • BMD certification is preferred
  • Liability insurance is mandatory
  • Adherence to all regulations and ALARA principles is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary
  • Thorough knowledge of infection control requirements and procedures is essential
  • Completion of a Medical Radiation Technology program from a recognized college or university is required
    Job Type: Permanent
    Expected hours: 32 per week

Your responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, reviewing their medical history, explaining procedures, and obtaining diagnostic-quality images. You will also assist with patient management, ensuring a high level of care and safety.

  • Obtain the necessary views in accordance with organizational protocol
  • Ensure that a comprehensive patient history is obtained to ensure accurate interpretation of the case
  • Possess the capability to work autonomously
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both staff and patients
  • Demonstrate compassion and respect towards patients, their families, and support persons when providing imaging services
