Description

Job Summary: We are hiring an X-ray OR Combined Laboratory & X-ray Technologist to join our travel healthcare client’s team! As an X-ray or Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist (CLXT) in the Medical Imaging and Laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and basic laboratory tests, ensuring high-quality patient care. You will operate state-of-the-art imaging equipment and conduct lab analyses to assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning while maintaining detailed medical records.
Job Location: Saskatchewan, Canada.
Job Type: Contract with opportunity for extension or permanent hire.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid certification and registration as an X-ray Technologist (XRT) or CLXT.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging procedures, radiation safety protocols, and laboratory techniques (for CLXTs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in both imaging and lab testing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform X-ray and CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort by effectively positioning patients and explaining procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality images and proper function.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests such as hematology, urinalysis, and specimen collection (for CLXTs).
  • Analyze and report lab test results following standard procedures and protocols (for CLXTs).
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and lab tests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including radiologists, physicians, and lab personnel, to support patient care.
