About Us: Joint implant Surgeons of Florida (JISF) is a physician owned, private medical practice in Florida specializing in Orthopedics, Spine and Pain Management. JISF is seeking a Radiographer to join our dynamic team covering primarily in our Naples office and may float to the Fort Myers office. The ideal candidate pays attention to detail and has a passion for caring. Under the Direction of the Imaging Manager, the Radiology Technologist will operate radiological equipment for diagnostic, and procedural purposes. The technologist must possess the ability to work without constant supervision of technical detail and build rapport with Physicians they are working with (learn preferences, workflow etc.). Job Summary: Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates x-ray equipment Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures Performs x-rays accurately and timely to keep clinics moving Maintains and preps records, files, and/or reports pertinent to the department Review charts and prep them for the upcoming clinics Retrieve x-rays for patients if they were done elsewhere Provide copies of x-rays for patients when requested Assist other department teammates as availability allows Maintain a clean workspace Assist Imaging Manager with administrative functions Operation of digital x-ray and/or C-arm for basic x-ray, injection and procedures Full time and Part time shift available, no weekends or holidays! Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:-Holds an active Radiologic Technologist RT(R) license with ARRT Holds an active license with ARRT Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida Holds current BLS certification by the American Heart Association (or able to complete within 60 days of hire) Knowledge of anatomy Ability to operate equipment effectively Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and other staff Ability to perform tasks using multiple computer systems. Education and Experience: Holds an active license with ARRT Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida One year experience, preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations
