Summary: A Per-Diem X-Ray Technologist is needed for our busy practice to help cover patient volumes and vacations. Coverage needs include weekdays. Job Purpose: Under the direct supervision of a Physician, the X-Ray Technologist will operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. This individual will accurately position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Essential Functions and Accountabilities: * Performs detailed radiographic examinations. * Establishes personal rapport with patients. * Provides explanations of procedures. * Understands, and is able, to follow MD protocols for procedures. * Effectively operates all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job. Academic Training: * Graduate of accredited School of Radiology Technology * Studies level: Graduate of Accredited School * Studies area: Radiology Technology * Current Massachusetts Radiology license - required * Studies level: License * Studies area: Radiology Technology * Current BLS Certification - required * Studies level: Certification * Studies area: BLS Position Requirements/Experience: * Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred * 2+ years of experience as a Radiology Technologist – required Technical Skills: * Competency in operating C-arm equipment. * Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
