Description
Extensive experience, proficiency, and passion for x86 server hardware, including the following hardware components and areas CPUs, GPUs, RAM, storage controllers, NICs, HBAs, BIOS, firmware, etc. Proficiency with HPE ProLiant server platform Gen9-Gen12 DL servers Proficiency with HPE iLO OOB management software Perform TCO evaluations of hardware, software, licenses, and support costs Provide critical L3 hardware and software support to downstream teams Automate management of hardware and software support via languages and utilities Established and active employee resource groups Procuring, provisioning, on-going support, decommissioning hardware Education IT-related some college/Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Experience with Windows system administration Knowledge of PowerShell scripting Knowledge of GitHub Knowledge of Python and Linux a plus Basic understanding of server hardware and VMware/Virtualization concepts Good understanding of networking concepts such as LACP/NIC Bonding, Subnetting, VLANs Good understanding of the x86 hardware platforms. Performs at a high level of technical competence and maturity. Ability to communicate effectively with application operational support staff. Ability to be a self-starter, looking for improvements to processes and business offerings. Ability to clearly explain technical issues in a non-technical fashion. Ability to create complex, technical documentation for operational use. Ability to handle multiple complex projects at one time. Work with various hardware vendors.
