Howdens are recruiting for a LGV driver to join our team based at our new purpose-built Raunds campus in Northamptonshire. The successful applicant will ensure the safe and efficient movement to internal and external customers whilst carrying out all tasks in line with company policy and legal constraints.

The successful candidate will undertake most of their duties without direct supervision and is always expected to adhere to company Health and safety standards.

WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR THE LGV DRIVER:

  • Excellent knowledge of driver regulations/WTD
  • Full HGV driver’s licence (C / C+E)
  • Hold a valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Work in a professional manner
  • Undertake site inductions and training
  • Have excellent geographical knowledge
  • The ability to follow company SOP’s
  • Flexible in approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team

  • Weekend work required on a rotational system, with more support required through our peak period
  • Hours of work average 50 hours p/w
