DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented specialist with deep expertise in OpenText Extended ECM and SAP SuccessFactors. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing integrated content management solutions to support HR business processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, consulting experience, and a strategic mindset to align technology with HR operational needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Human Resources Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • OpenText Extended ECM Expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of features such as document and records management, workflows, and content archiving.
  • Experience with Content Server, Business Workspaces, and Archive Center.
  • Ability to configure and customize ECM for HR use cases, especially in SuccessFactors environments.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Knowledge
  • Proficiency with modules including Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, and Learning.
  • Familiarity with SuccessFactors data model, APIs (OData, SFAPI), and HR objects.
  • Understanding of UI elements like People Profile and document embedding.
  • Integration Skills
  • Hands-on experience integrating OpenText ECM with SuccessFactors via pre-built connectors or custom APIs.
  • Proficient with SAP Integration Suite (including ECC HCM or S4 HCM), MuleSoft, or Dell Boomi for middleware integration.
  • Skilled in metadata mapping between HR systems and content platforms.
  • Document and Records Management
  • Management of HR-related unstructured content (e.g., resumes, contracts, certifications).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and content lifecycle governance.
  • Programming and Scripting
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or Java for ECM customization and API interaction.
  • Experience with OData query language and basic SQL for metadata and content queries.
  • Cloud and Deployment
  • Understanding of cloud, hybrid, and on-premises deployment models for OpenText Extended ECM.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP services, including SAP Cloud Integration and Document Management.

DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE:

  • HR Business Processes
  • Deep understanding of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and learning workflows.
  • Insight into how integrated content supports and enhances these processes.
  • Business Process Optimization
  • Ability to streamline HR operations by aligning structured data and unstructured content.
  • Experience in automating approvals and reducing manual content handling.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address integration and configuration challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to work across HR, IT, and business teams.
  • Experience managing projects, including scope, timeline, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Client-facing consulting experience, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and user training.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in OpenText Extended ECM or SAP SuccessFactors (e.g., SAP Certified Associate – Employee Central).

  • Familiarity with related tools such as SAP Document Management Service or OpenText Documentum.
  • Experience in change management to support user adoption and organizational transformation.
  • Analytical mindset to monitor system usage, performance, and optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement integrations between OpenText Extended ECM and SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring seamless data and content flow.
  • Configure and customize Extended ECM solutions to support document management, records management, archiving, and HR workflows.
  • Optimize SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, and Learning by linking them with ECM content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map metadata and ensure consistency between HR data and content repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and EEOC through robust content retention and security strategies.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, develop tailored integration solutions, and deliver enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Lead or support implementation projects using SAP Activate, Agile, or similar methodologies.
  • Conduct workshops, gather business requirements, and provide training and support to HR and IT stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical audiences, emphasizing HR and business impact.
