Description Essential Job Functions: Performs X-Ray examinations following EIC Radiologist’s set Protocols Full understanding and operation of all X-Ray equipment, including digitizer if applicable. Maintains all clinical equipment, including daily QC, and ability to troubleshoot all X-Ray equipment. Notifies service as needed, maintains service logs and reports any and all performance issues to Director. Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Follows radiation safety guidelines and utilizes lead shielding as required to protect patient and self from excessive radiation. Responsible for accurate coding and completing of all ordered procedures. Performs Radiographic procedures of high technical quality. Stocks x-ray rooms between exams and at end of shift. Performs other related duties as required. General Responsibilities: Follows safety and compliance policies and procedures. Adheres to EIC Dress Code Policy. Reduces noise levels in all areas; keeps voice down and does not discuss personal matters where patients/visitors may overhear. Keeps work area [including exam rooms] clean and orderly and maintains inventory. Treats co-workers as teammates; supports the roles of others. Demonstrates a commitment to customer service: Makes effort to listen and understand customer concerns, needs or issues. Immediately informs management of any patient complaint or other customer service issue. Offers assistance or help to anyone who seems lost, confused or is having difficulty. Requirements Radiology Technologist / X-Ray Technologist (NO CALL) Minimum of 2 years experience. Current California License (CRT) Current ARRT Fluoroscopy License Current CPR/BLS Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Responsible to keep license current and provide copy on annual basis. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Good oral and written communication skills. Good problem solving skills. Ability to manage high patient and/or work flow volumes Provide for patient care; comfort, safety and patient confidentiality
