Description Position Overview The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is a mission-driven organization seeking individuals who are enthusiastic and passionate about our mission and vision. Under the direction of the Youth Development Coordinator, the Y-Time Lead is responsible for the supervision and daily operations of Y-Time and Kids Night Out programs, as well as the supervision and scheduling of staff. Job Responsibilities The Y-Time Lead works collaboratively with the Youth Development Coordinator to provide a safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate experience for children at the YMCA. This role requires availability to work evening hours (4:00-8:30 PM) and Saturdays, with specific hours varying as needed. Program & Youth Engagement Engage with youth ages 1-12 in a fun, safe, and supportive environment Create, implement, and provide input on youth program curriculum and daily schedules Lead and manage Kids Night Out programming, including setup in Daxko Establish positive relationships with children and parents Administration & Communication Maintain accurate rosters and attendance records Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, parents, and participants Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality program delivery Safety & Environment Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children Enforce YMCA safety regulations and behavior management standards Observe and oversee participant activities to minimize risk Professional Expectations Reliably work varied hours Monday-Sunday Commit to building long-term relationships with staff, volunteers, participants, members, and families Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead groups effectively Essential Functions Model and incorporate YMCA Christian principles into daily work Follow directions and organizational procedures Relate well to children, parents, and fellow staff members Physically and mentally capable of leading athletic and enrichment activities and moving equipment (up to 25 lbs.) Visual and auditory ability to respond to emergencies and act swiftly in critical situations Required Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age Prior experience working with youth and parents preferred Ability to pass a YMCA background check Completion of all required job-related training within 30 days of hire CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment Key Results & Competencies The successful candidate will: Demonstrate YMCA Christian principles in both word and action.
