The Y-Time Lead oversees the daily operations of the Y-Time program and potential Kids Night Out programming, including staff supervision and scheduling. In collaboration with the Youth Development Coordinator, this role ensures a safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate experience for all participants while fostering a welcoming environment that supports the well-being and engagement of every child. Program Overview Age Groups: Primarily ages 1-8 (up to age 12 for select programs) Program Types: Y-Time and Kids Night Out Weekly Hours: Up to 14 hours per week Schedule & Commitment Monday - Thursday: 8:45 AM - 11:15 AM Schedule may vary based on program needs Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, is required Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of Y-Time and Kids Night Out programs Supervise, support, and help schedule program staff Engage children in a safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate environment Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and structured program environment Maintain accurate attendance records and program rosters Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program space Professional Expectations Demonstrate reliability and flexibility with scheduling Model YMCA values and mission in all interactions Follow organizational policies and procedures Physically able to lead activities and lift up to 25 lbs Respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Previous experience working with youth and families preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Must pass YMCA background check Complete required training within 30 days of hire CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain Compensation & Benefits Pay: $18.50 per hour Employee discount Free YMCA membership Flexible scheduling Opportunities for advancement Location Requirement Must be able to commute or relocate to Beaverton, OR 97005 prior to start date
