What You’ll Do Set and reset dining areas, including tables, menus, and décor Keep dining rooms, service stations, and guest areas clean and organized Assist servers with food and beverage delivery Clear tables and restock supplies during service Support smooth and efficient service during busy periods Follow all health, sanitation, and vessel safety procedures Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning duties Work closely with the crew to ensure a seamless guest experience What You Bring Friendly, guest-focused attitude Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Comfort working aboard a moving vessel Ability to carry service items (up to 50 lbs) and navigate stairs safely Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed Ability to work 2–5 hour cruises, with occasional shifts up to 12 hours Restaurant experience preferred but not required. Requirements NECESSARY JOB QUALIFICATIONS Basic knowledge of restaurant service and general sanitation and cleaning principles. Need finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture. Able to safely go up and down stairs while carrying service trays or other items. Able to balance and carry a service tray with breakable service items weighing 50lbs. Possess a pleasant, outgoing personality and enjoy interacting with others. Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers. Able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work aboard a vessel that is away from shore 2-6 hours at a time. MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT USED General restaurant equipment including Point of Sale system. Basic residential cleaning equipment and supplies such as vacuums and Windex. ENVIRONMENT Work on a vessel with limited personal space and public areas. Up to twelve-hour days with the likelihood of a varying daily schedule. Prolonged strenuous physical activity in indoor and outdoor environment. UNIFORM Will wear a long-sleeved, white, button-down collar, oxford-style shirt, black non-fading pants (no cotton), black, rubber-soled, polishable dress shoes, black socks, black belt, company issued apron and tie, and your assigned name badge.

Responsibilities

The Server Assistant will be responsible for setting and resetting dining areas, maintaining cleanliness of service stations, and assisting servers with food and beverage delivery during service periods. This role also requires adherence to all health, sanitation, and vessel safety procedures while supporting the crew for a seamless guest experience.
