POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Yard & Concrete Manager to oversee our yard operations, concrete batching, and volumetric truck fleet. This hands-on leadership role is critical to ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our yard, concrete production, equipment logistics, and overall site readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in concrete production, dispatching, and yard operations

• Hands-on experience with volumetric concrete trucks is required
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, small engines, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Class DZ or AZ license is considered an asset but not required
• Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and best practices (OHSA compliance preferred)

Manage daily yard operations, material inventory, and equipment logistics

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and dispatch of volumetric concrete trucks
• Lead a team of yard staff, drivers, and concrete operators to ensure operational efficiency
• Coordinate with project managers and field crews to meet concrete delivery schedules and site requirements
• Maintain and improve yard organization, safety compliance, and equipment readiness
• Troubleshoot equipment and material issues, ensuring minimal downtime
• Monitor concrete production quality, mix designs, and batching operations
• Enforce preventative maintenance schedules on volumetric trucks and yard equipment
• Optimize material usage, reduce waste, and control costs
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability
