Essential Job Functions All positions at Wood Shed require the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the store and yard Perform work requiring balance, coordination, and hands-free mobility Lift, carry, push, and pull materials of varying weight depending on role (up to designated limits) Work in a fast-paced retail environment with changing priorities Assist customers in a professional, courteous, and solution-oriented manner Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Safely operate tools, equipment, or vehicles as required (training provided where applicable) Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational standards These functions are considered essential and cannot be removed or permanently modified. YARD & DELIVERY ASSOCIATE Job Summary Yard & Operations Associates support material movement, receiving, deliveries, and yard organization. This is a physically demanding role critical to store safety and efficiency. 🔑 Key Responsibilities Receive, unload, and organize incoming freight and deliveries Operate forklifts and other equipment (certification/training provided) Load materials for customers and delivery trucks Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse area Assist with inventory management and material staging Support inside store operations when needed Follow all safety protocols and equipment guidelines ✅ Qualifications Strong work ethic and attention to safety Ability to lift 80+ lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and work outdoors Ability to safely operate equipment or willingness to be trained Valid Driver's License with proper certifications Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Flexible availability
