JOB OVERVIEW

Uncle Wieners Wholesale is seeking for a dedicated and experienced Yard and Warehouse Manager to oversee our yard operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities within the yard, ensuring efficient logistics, inventory control, and transportation management. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management, as well as the ability to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in warehouse management or related field with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including freight, logistics, and materials management.
• Experience in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in demand planning, production planning, and inventory control processes.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.

Experience:

• Supervise yard operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
• Oversee transportation planning and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Manage warehouse distribution processes and maintain effective communication with team members.
• Implement lean methodologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) for effective operations.
• Coordinate with procurement for materials management and purchasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Analyze supply chain analytics to forecast demand planning and optimize inventory control.
• Lead a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers as needed.
