Description PART TIME 20-30 HOURS MUST WORK ALL SHIFTS AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY The yard associate is responsible for maintaining excellent working relationships with all customers, DIY, commercial and contractor, loading and unloading all merchandise in warehouse/yard areas including special orders and assisting the unloading of all incoming and outgoing shipments of merchandise. Fulfilling all of the below duties within the department will promote maximum sales, cultivate customer goodwill and encourage repeat business. Yard associates must perform the assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to avoid adverse impact upon the level of service to customers and to avoid placing a disproportionate burden on other yard personnel with similar tasks. Requirements · Must be 18 years of age. · Must safely move merchandise between the warehouse and sales floor. · Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time. · Must be able to safely lift items weighing up to 94 lbs. on own or by team lifting. · Must be able to safely lift items weighing up to 80 lbs. repetitively. · Must be able to use all required equipment specific to assigned department (i.e. pallet jack, ladders, step stools). · Must be able to bend, crouch and stoop.
