ABOUT US

Rapid Energy is on an exciting growth trajectory. Since launching in July 2020, we’ve quickly
become a leading specialist in the HVAC hire market, ranked the 6th fastest-growing
founder-led, privately owned company in the UK.
We help commercial and industrial businesses stay operational with fast, reliable temporary
temperature control solutions. When heating or cooling systems fail, downtime can be costly
and stressful. That’s why we respond quickly, delivering expert consultation through to
seamless installation, to keep our customers’ equipment and reputation protected.

JOB SUMMARY

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to take on the role of Yard
Coordinator, with clear potential to progress into a Trainee Engineer position. You will work
alongside experienced professionals within the HVAC industry, gaining valuable knowledge
and hands-on experience while being fully supported in your career development.
As a Yard Coordinator, you will be based at our Redditch depot, supporting engineers
with the servicing and maintenance of our commercial boiler fleet—both within the depot
and occasionally on client sites across the UK.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Reside within 30 minutes of Redditch
  • Flexible and available for emergency callouts outside of standard hours
  • Willingness to occasionally stay away for work
  • Motivated, driven, and eager to learn
  • Forklift experience (training can be provided)
  • DBS check required upon successful application
  • Ability to handle physically and mentally demanding tasks
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Operate independently, ensuring that all picking lists are prepared with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Receive, offload, and correctly allocate returned assets within the yard.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date stock count of all assets, proactively flagging shortfalls to the leadership team and identifying opportunities for depot transfers.
  • Take full ownership of the yard, ensuring it is consistently safe, clean, organised, and that all assets are well-maintained through regular reviews.
  • Implement and oversee effective organisational systems within the yard to maximise efficiency.
  • Proactively develop new skills with the aim of independently carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checklists to assess asset condition.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of yard operations by suggesting innovative ideas that enhance health and safety standards, organisational processes, and overall efficiency.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and coordination with colleagues across multiple depots to ensure seamless weekly and monthly planning, with a strong focus on delivering customer satisfaction.
  • Assist engineers with the maintenance and servicing of equipment, taking a proactive approach to self-development and technical learning.
  • Be flexible and willing to travel with engineers to assist with on-site installations and servicing when required.
