Are you looking for your next exciting job opportunity?  Garelick Farms in Rensselaer, NY is hiring a non-cdl yard jockey!   The General Purpose of the Job Includes: Driving truck or tractor at vehicle parking, yard or docking areas to move, position or park trucks and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving functions. Transporting trucks and trailers for repairs, as necessary, according to policies and procedures and safety protocols. Yard drivers may also operate wash bay using all necessary equipment to clean tractors and trailers while keeping the yard neat and orderly.   Roles and Responsibilities Include: * Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area * Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs. * Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading * Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers * Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log * Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area * Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean * Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location * Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed * Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries * Attend all driver workshops and training sessions * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
