Job Details: Starting Pay: $19.10/hr Shift Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8 am - 6 pm Yard Driver Opr DB01 - Full Time - A Shift - RVI Texarkana Description : Applicants will be considered Yard Driver position. Yard Drivers will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of Tyson trucks and our customer’s trailers, following al plant policies and procedures; will keep the truck clean at all times. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Requirements: Team Member must be dependable, work well with others, self-motivated and willing to come in early and stay late, when necessary. Prefer high school graduate or equivalent; a minimum of 6 months experience driving heavy equipment or trucks is preferred. Successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively in order to receive work orders from the dispatcher over the radio. relay information to other co-workers and report issues to management and to complete daily paperwork. Prefer experience with trailers and tankers Must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment. Must be willing and able to have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose. Must be able to read to complete required logs. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate frontend loader, man lift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. 6 months non CDL driving work experience with one employer in the last 24 months. Worker history must be documented on application or resume. Must have a valid driver’s license (Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed) NO DUI/DWIs in the last 12 months At least 18 years of age Rehires must no more than 3 rehires and must wait 180 days Relocation Assistance Eligible: No Work Shift: A Shift (United States of America) Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
