Description

Casey's Distribution Center is looking for a Full-time Trailer Jockey. Trailer Jockeys move trailers for the Grocery Warehouse and Service Warehouse, record information on trailers that arrive and leave the property, maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior and exterior on all transport vehicles. * Enters the arrival time, refer fuel level, temperature setting and actual temperature into corporate network via laptop computer for every outside carrier that enters our facility. * Moves trailers as needed for the Grocery Warehouse and Service Departments. * Parks all drop trailers and assigns an empty trailer to drivers. * Lot inspections every four (4) hours for trailers with perishable products and records information on fuel level, temperature setting, actual temperature and the amount of fuel added. * Washes transport vehicles; cleans the interior of trucks and washes truck windows. * This position is scheduled to work Sunday from 4pm - 2am and Monday through Thursday from 6pm - 2am with overtime as needed. Qualifications Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. Valid Driver’s License required; Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work effectively as a team member by operating cooperatively and cohesively with others. Basic computer skills. Other Requirements: Ability to push, pull bend, and stoop. Must be able to reach and lift above shoulder level. Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

The Yard Driver is responsible for moving trailers within the distribution center and recording arrival/departure data via laptop. They also perform regular lot inspections for perishable goods and maintain the cleanliness of transport vehicles.
