OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Manager to oversee our yard operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in supply chain management, inventory management, and warehouse distribution. As a Yard Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing processes within the yard environment. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage logistics effectively while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles with a focus on supply chain operations.
• Strong background in inventory management, demand planning, and process improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with forklift operation and materials handling equipment is required.

• Oversee daily yard operations, ensuring efficient flow of materials and products.
• Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and accuracy.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Supervise transportation management activities, including fleet management and transportation planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in materials handling.
• Train and mentor staff on warehouse procedures, including picking & packing, dispatching, and freight operations.
