We are looking to recruit a yard operative at our busy Cowfold yard.
The successful candidate will need to have good numeracy and literacy skills, be a good team player, have a strong work ethic and be able to communicate well with others.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organised yard
- Cleaning, greasing and preparation of all machinery prior to hire
- Load and unload trucks with plant and materials
- Liaise with the workshop re any damages upon return
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues
- General Yard duties
Skills:
- Experience working in a yard or similar environment
- A forklift license would be preferred but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Ability to work in a team
-Positive, can-do attitude
-A driving license with full access to a vehicle is preferred due to the location of the premises but there is a bus service to the village.
