Position Summary The position oversees and participates in the manufacturing of products as determined by production schedules, forecasts, and work orders. Principle Accountabilities Leads the activities of employees; provides assistance to workers engaged in production activities; troubleshoots worker and production problems and recommends solutions. Engages in interactive communication. Trains workers in production methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary. Participates in and oversees the production process, from beginning to end and ensures the quality of the product. Supervises other employees, which includes: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; motivating, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining employees. Organizes the daily work flow based on direction from the Plant Manager and production schedules; ensuring each team in production is well informed of the daily tasks and deadlines set forth for the day. Properly operates all tools and equipment based on safety procedures and specified guidelines. Maintains organized area and properly stores tools, materials, etc. Cleans working area by sweeping excess debris on a continuous basis to ensure a safe work area. Qualifications Position Requirements The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated supervisory experience. Other desired qualifications include: Ability to read and interpret production drawings. Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred. Experience working with a Quality Control program. Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Spreadsheet, Word Processor).
