Watson’s Home Hardware Building Centre is a retail business providing customers with lumber and building material products for their projects. Our Yard Workers focus on getting the material to our customers, either by pick up or delivery, while providing excellent customer service.

As a Yard Supervisor, responsibilities will include:

• Delegating responsibilities to Yard Workers;
• Scheduling incoming and outgoing deliveries;
• Overseeing yard organization and inventory counts;
• Scheduling fleet maintenance as required;
• Communicating with all locations and departments;
• Scheduling staff to ensure optimal coverage for yard and deliveries;
• Promoting all workplace policies and procedures, including health and safety, to ensure optimal safety and efficiency;
• Other duties as assigned.

To be successful, the Yard Foreman will have:

• A strong understanding of lumber and building material products;
• Previous forklift experience;
• Previous leadership responsibilities;
• Excellent organization and communication skills;
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed;
• Valid license in good standing, DZ is preferred but not required.
