We maintain a complete inventory of parts and provide 24-hour emergency service to keep our customers’ trailers on the road. We are seeking an immediate hire for a Class A Switcher Driver to support yard operations and local deliveries. Position Summary The Class A Switcher Driver is responsible for safely moving trailers and equipment within the yard and completing assigned local deliveries. This role requires strong safety awareness, equipment handling skills, and adherence to DOT and company standards. Pay & Schedule Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Full-time position Key Responsibilities Move trailers in and out of designated parking areas Safely maneuver equipment throughout the yard. Open, close, secure, hook, and unhook trailer doors. Use wheel chocks and other safety devices to secure trailers. Perform local deliveries as assigned. Conduct daily post-shift vehicle inspections and report damage or mechanical issues. Maintain accurate vehicle logs and required documentation. Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues immediately to management Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment. Maintain the cleanliness of the truck’s interior and exterior. Follow accident and incident reporting procedures. Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies. Obey traffic laws and follow established transportation procedures. Read maps and follow written or verbal route instructions. Communicate delays, accidents, or traffic concerns using a phone or a two-way radio.
