SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Yard Team Member position is critical to the successful operation of a Windsor Plywood store. The primary focus is to overlook the daily business activities of the yard and warehouse including the equipment, vehicles, housekeeping and maintenance. The role is also responsible to ensure the customer experience with the yard, warehouse and deliveries are delivered at a high-level.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• High School Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalency
• Prior Building Material / Lumber Supply experience – 3 years minimum
• Sit-Down Counter Balance 10,000lb Capacity Forklift Certification
• Permanent resident of Canada with active Driver’s License
• Strong comprehension with verbal and written communication skills in English
• Familiar with Microsoft 365
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for operational results
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated/self-directed, with an ability to work independently using sound judgment, logical reasoning skills, and intuition using sound judgment, logical reasoning skills, and intuition
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have great time management prioritization
• Flexible, honest, acting in all situations with professionalism and integrity
• Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner

• Shipping & Receiving | Ensuring all inventory leaving/entering Yard has appropriate paper-work
• Order picking, pulling, palletizing, staging & loading
• Loading & unloading of Transport & Delivery vehicles
• Operate Forklift in a diligent, professional & safe manner
• Actively monitor material organization, stocking levels, & accuracy in Yard
• Diligently follow Check-lists, policies, processes & procedures
• Maintain a safe & positive work-environment
