Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Yard Technician II ensures that all equipment is ready for rent and the yard is organized to maximize efficiency. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Must have a valid state driver’s license with a moderately clean driving record. * Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language. * Ability to take verbal and written instructions and perform the tasks necessary for the job. * Ability to perform basic math. * Ability to maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment. PREFERRED EDUCATION & SKILLS * High School degree or equivalent is preferred. * 1 year of Forklift experience is preferred. PRIMARY DUTIES: * Load and unload trucks. This includes the safe distribution of weight and proper and legal tie down of all loads. * Transports non-DOT equipment * Prepare equipment for rent. * Organize and put equipment and tools in proper place. * Keep the area of responsibility clean and organized. * Keep forklift, pallet jack, and pressure washer in good working order. * Responsible for matching loaded and unloaded equipment with delivery tickets or other freight documents. * Performs minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment. * Notes any physical damage to equipment received on freight document. * Works outdoors in all weather conditions. * Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
