Description Job Summary: This is an opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial and growing business, backed by investors who represent leading figures within the equipment rental industry. Our rental department is seeking a yard Technician with experience in operating heavy equipment safely Requirements Skills & Qualifications: Personal skills must include mechanical ability, analytical thinking, and work organization. This position requires knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures, heavy construction/farm and material handling equipment, repair methods and records. This individual must have the ability to prioritize the work to be done and focus on it, possess a high sense of urgency, to be thorough with the work being done, to offer his/her best knowledge of the situation to be used, project integrity and credibility to the company. Must have the ability to oversee loading and unloading of heavy equipment on trucks. Must be willing to keep an equipment yard clean and maintained. Must maintain a well-groomed professional appearance appropriate for the position. Performing any other duties as may be required Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required Must be able to read and write English Two or more years’ experience in heavy construction equipment; preferred Must be forklift certified or pass a certification course Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, squatting, bending, or stetting. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times Must be able to pass a WorkSteps exam (fit for duty) and pre-employment drug screening Compensation & Benefits: Compensation will be a competitive hourly rate, generous PTO and Holiday plan, along with Company offered benefits, and 401k (with matching once eligible).

Responsibilities

The Yard Technician will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment and overseeing the loading and unloading of equipment onto trucks. This role also requires maintaining a clean and well-kept equipment yard and performing other required duties.
