QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a warehouse/shipping/yard environment;
Previous forklift experience required, valid forklift certification preferred;
High school diploma;
Must possess a valid driver’s license;
Must be detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy;
Knowledge of safe lifting and handling procedures;
Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time;
Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds;
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act;
Ability to work independently;
Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a task;
Able to effectively communicate, follow and understand verbal and written directions

Prepare, ship and receive materials;
Ensure pallets and loads are built correctly;
Load and unload trucks;
Unpackage, count and repackage to return to stock customer returns;
Sort, tag and distribute incoming shipments;
Report quality variances;
Support inventory control with accurate documentation;
Confirm inventory transactions are complete;
Operate lifting devices (i.e. forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks);
Perform routine inspections on forklifts;
Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations;
Participate in clean-up of yard and facility;
Ensure all paperwork is completed to standard;
Perform all other duties as assigned.
