PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Reporting to our location at 2410 Lower Base Line, Oakville. The yard worker maintains a professional work environment by greeting and helping customers in a friendly and professional manner, upkeeping the cleanliness of the yard, and providing general assistance to the overall day-to-day operations of the facility.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be comfortable with repeated heavy lifting - up to 80lbs.
• Must enjoy working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work Saturdays and occasional holidays.
• Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions.
• Must have effective communication and time management skills.
• Customer service experience is an asset.

• Ensure bagged products are filled and kept in stock.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Ensure the yard is safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions exist at all times.
• Greet customers and assist with loading products into their vehicles.
• Safely and efficiently operate the equipment as required and report any Health and Safety concerns to the supervisor on duty.
• Maintain open and clear communication with other team members.
• Cross-train on various roles – as required.
• Complete additional assigned tasks – as required.
