Location: Longton, Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Monday - Friday, rotates weekly 6-2, 2-10.
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Yardsman FLT Driver / Relief Shunt Driver to join our busy loading yard based at our headquarters in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a professional company committed to long-term growth.

• Efficiently and safely receive and put away stock products.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage.
• Pick and prepare products for loading using scanners.
• Load, unload, move, and stack products/materials using a forklift truck.
• Ensure the safe and efficient movement of trailers around the site using a Terburg tug.
• Strap trailers securely and spend time outside of the vehicle when necessary.
• Maintain company equipment as per operating instructions.
• Assist in physical stock takes and ensure appropriate records and reports are kept for accurate inventory control.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the yard and warehouse environment.

What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in Fork Lift Truck (FLT) operations within a yard or warehouse environment.
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence, refreshed within the last three years (essential).
• Shunt Experience
• Experience in commercial driving (preferred but not essential).
• The ability to work under pressure, meeting strict deadlines with keen attention to detail.
• Integrity, reliability, and the aptitude to undertake new challenges.
