Job Description The Asset Allocation team manage a variety of multi-asset funds which utilise the benefits of diversification to reduce risk while maintaining an attractive return to investors. These funds range from passive to active strategies and serve DB schemes, DC schemes, and retail investors. The team uses quantitative and qualitative analysis, including tail risk assessment and ongoing risk/performance monitoring to determine optimal allocations and ensure long-term objectives are met. What you might work on The responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, and you will be exposed to a wide range of activities to help support the ongoing operations of the team. This includes: Joining the front office investment management team across a variety of tasks that aid the team's investment process and distribution efforts Collaborating with the team’s economists, strategists, portfolio managers and investment specialists on daily activities Carrying out daily tasks to support the ongoing operations of the team Contributing to longer-term projects that develop quantitative and presentation skills Analysing numerical and time series data using qualitative and quantitative methods, and applying Python and other commonly used tools across teams for data analysis After completing the internship, there’s a chance you could be offered a graduate role (upon completion of your degree). Any offer will depend on how you perform during your placement and the graduate roles available at the time. Qualifications Who we’re looking for: First and foremost, we’re looking for undergraduates with curiosity and a strong desire to learn. You don’t need prior industry experience, but we’ll want to see that you have the skills and mindset to grow quickly. These include: On track for a 2.1 Degree in any subject – we are open to all subject backgrounds Penultimate year student studying in a four-year course (graduating in 2028) B in A Level Maths Right to work in the UK Curious, motivated and have a desire to learn more about a career in Investment Management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and the ability to code is desirable. Python and VBA is preferred.
