Description
Responsibilities include planning and directing implementation of equipment, process, or product modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products. Ensures the PFA engineers are equipped to handle tactical activities in the lab (priority setting, customer service, etc), supports the shift engineers in employee development activities. Effectively manage daily failure analysis to meet production, process, and quality requirements Works with 1st shift and shift engineers to identify and Deploy Best Known Methods, keeping shifts aligned while progressing the labs failure analysis efforts efficiency and accuracy Maintain an effective training program; provide active leadership to drive group to higher levels of proficiency. Ensures eventual reports are receiving adequate development, coaching and growth opportunities Mentor engineers in how to effectively delegate tasks to achieve the desired results Define BP's and KPI's for your organization and monitors them periodically to support organization goals and needs Requires 5-8 years direct semiconductor PFA Lead Engineer experience. Leading and technically contributing in failure analysis activities using MBPS and delivering root cause Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar experience Masters degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering or related technical field 3-5 years of experience in a technical leadership role Experience building and developing new failure analysis teams
