About the Role As the bilingual (English/Spanish)Housekeeping Facility Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, and housekeeping services across the YMCA Fairfax County Reston. You’ll lead teams, manage systems, and implement best practices to ensure our YMCA facilities remain clean, safe, efficient, and member-ready at all times. What You’ll Do: In this leadership role, you will: Manage housekeeping and maintenance teams to deliver exceptional facility standards Oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment and facility life Coordinate repairs, work orders, inspections, and vendor relationships Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards Develop schedules, staffing plans, and workflow processes for operational efficiency Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment while managing departmental budgets Implement innovative cleaning and maintenance practices that improve member experience Partner with branch leadership to support special events, programs, and facility upgrades Lead training, performance management, and team development initiatives What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. Minimum of 3 years of experience in in facilities management, housekeeping operations, or building maintenance. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance. Pool Operator Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active, fast-paced environment.
