About the Job The YMCA Reston is looking for motivated, driven, and enthusiastic fitness and wellness professionals to join our team. The Physical Therapist/Personal Trainers will work with each member to uncover and address any issues and attain their peak physical potential by establishing personal goals and objectives. Our ideal candidate must have a strong background in corrective exercise, previous experience in physical therapy and personal training, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Some of the exciting tasks you will do as a Physical Therapist/Personal Trainer include but are not limited to: Providing manual therapy, rehabilitation, injury prevention, and functional exercises for members. Developing personalized fitness programs, monitoring progress, and ensuring high-quality care. Guide members through rehabilitative exercises and personalized strength programs. Lead transformative one-on-one and group physical therapy/personal training sessions that not only build strength but also uplift spirits. Be a champion and coach to our members by motivating them to stretch beyond their limits to attain their goals. Qualifications and Skills: We seek a leader with values that align with the Y’s mission: Physical Therapist License required Licensed by board of medicine in the state of practice (VA) Current Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization from ACE, NASM or ACSM. Post-Rehabilitation Specialist Certification or Medical Specialist preferred Minimum of one year of outpatient experience Minimum of one-year training experience References from previous employers or patients CPR & AED certified Schedule: Flexible Working Condition: Must be able to bend, sit, stand, or pick-up at least 35 pounds Conduct personal training sessions/group sessions and support other Wellness services at the branch (which may require lifting weights up to 50 pounds) Must have reliable transportation Benefits: We appreciate your talents, hard work and professional dedication and will reward you with a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including a 10% employer-funded retirement plan.
