Are you interested in making a positive impact this summer? The YMCA is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors! This is an opportunity to have a blast while creating core memories for the campers. Every day is full of energy, creativity, and connection, making it a truly enjoyable and meaningful way to spend your summer. This is the perfect job for aspiring teachers, college students, and/or adults with summers off.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children OR college credits toward a degree in education or human services field
  • Clearances required upon hire
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Lead and engage campers in exciting activities like games, arts and crafts, sports, swimming and outdoor adventures.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Collaborate with fellow camp staff to ensure a safe, fun, and memorable summer for campers AND counselors.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of PA Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
