About the Job Are you organized, proactive and have a keen eye for details? Then the facility housekeeping technician position is for you. The YMCA facility housekeeping team set the stage for exceptional service by keeping the Y facility clean and inviting. Some of the exciting tasks you will do as a Facility Housekeeping Technician include but are not limited to: Keeps assigned area clean and clear for all YMCA participants Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, and mopping Assists in set-up for meetings and/or special events Monitor and maintain cleaning: storage rooms, offices, kitchen, bathrooms Assist with laundry functions as needed Respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or GED One-year relevant experience Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.) Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions and use knowledge in maintenance and care of finished surfaces Why Join Us: The YMCA offers a collaborative and energizing work environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
