A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE.

Mello is a service across the Midlands that partners with other agencies to delivery mental health and wellbeing support across the two counties.
We provide the Blues programme to 11–19-year-olds young people in schools, colleges and sixth forms across Worcestershire. We are looking for a motivated Young Person’s Worker who is committed to supporting young people’s mental health to deliver this service in Hereford/Worcestershire. You will be part of a national programme across Action for Children’s four nations.
We also deliver a range of mental health and wellbeing programmes and workshops called Bouncing Back, which include exam stress, and resilience. 1 in 10 children in every classroom suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder. The Blues is an evidenced based CBT influenced programme to support the reduction of anxiety & depression in young people using an early intervention model.

OUR JOB DESCRIPTION OUTLINES THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE BUT THE ‘MUST-HAVES’ ARE:

  • Level 2 Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of delivering evidenced-based interventions.
  • Experience of working with children and young people and families.
