Cafe Rouge On Bloor is an authentic French bakery and cafe located on Bloor Street West in the heart of the Kingsway Village, Toronto. Since 2014, we strive to deliver food that is fresher, finer, and with a perfect balance of authenticity and creativity.
About the Position
We’re looking for a skill Barista to join our team. The idea candidate will have significant experience working as a barista in a fast-paced food service environment, a passion for specialty coffee, and knowledge of wine. Key qualities inclues business acumen, a customer-centric approach, and outstanding emotional intelligent. The successful candidate will be a team player who is excited about contributing to business growth and embracing new challenges.

General Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer, handling transactions and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and service areas.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless service during peak and off-peak hours.
• Stay knowledgeable about products, promotions, and new offerings to make recommendations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements about knowledge, skill, and ability
1. Knowledge
Advance knowledge of coffee preparation technique, ingredients and equipment.

1. Skill

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure during busy periods.
• Strong attention to detail to consistently deliver high-quality products and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

1. Ability

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (under 10 kg), and move quickly between tasks.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $17.60 - $19.50 per hour. Plus tips.
Schedule: 28h-36h/week. Weekdays and weekends as needed.
Experience: Required minimum 2 yrs barista.
